The submission from four trade unions concerned allegations of gender-based violence and harassment in McDonald’s and related due diligence by two institutional investors: APG Asset Management (APG) and Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM).<\/p>\n

The submitters were the International Union of Food, Agricultural, Hotel, Restaurant, Catering, Tobacco and Allied Workers’ Associations (IUF), European Federation of Food, Agriculture and Tourism Trade Unions (EFFAT-IUF), Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and Uni\u00e3o Geral dos Trabalhadores (UGT).<\/p>\n

The US NCP handled the specific instance concerning McDonald’s, and the Dutch NCP handled the specific instance relating to the Dutch investor APG.<\/p>\n

The Norwegian NCP has handled the specific instance relating to NBIM. The parties reached an agreement on 9 March 2022. Status: Concluded with joint statement.<\/p><\/div><\/div>
