The ocean is a pillar of life, as well as an under-recognized provider of nutritious food and livelihoods. Acknowledging this is a crucial step to ensuring sufficient, safe and nutritious aquatic foods which meet dietary needs and food preferences, leaving no one behind.<\/p>\n<p>Actions should be based on knowledge. Gaining and sharing knowledge are key to sustainability.
